Hej/Hello! I'm Elin
I love to meet new people and to hear their stories. I also have a passion for the outdoors, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, climbing and all kinds of crafty stuff.
Growing up I loved to spend my free time drawing characters and make up stories with my best friend. Somewhere along the way I swapped the pencil and the stories for the camera and the real deal. And there's nothing else I would rather do. Photographing people and emotions, just makes me insanely happy and present. And knowing that my clients get a time machine of moments and feelings that they can return to, that is invaluable. I've definitely found my greatest passion in life.
I love to capture relaxed and real moments. The kind of photos that will make you smile, laugh, and cry. Images that you will cherish forever, because they remind you of the most important things in your life. I deliver a mix of documentary and directed photos, but I'm not going to make you "cut the cake" twice and look into the camera (unless you want to of course). It's your day, not my photo shoot.
So where am I based? I'm one of those adventurers who found that special somebody abroad and now live in two places - you could say both ends of the world. I was born and raised in Sweden, but nowadays I spend a lot of my time on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia together with my love and best friend, Nick (and our pretty awesome cats, Eski & Cookie). So no matter if you're in Australia or Sweden - If you're planning a wedding anywhere around there or in Europe, I'd love to hear from you!
Nick and I have been a couple for 10 years (just this year, wohoo!) and are not married yet - and yet we kind of are. Because to me, the actual wedding is not what makes the marriage. In the end of the day, it's not about the rings or the flowers. It's about the bond between two people celebrating it with their loved ones. That is pretty damn special.
And that is what I like to capture.
